"You can safely start with a good-quality multi-vitamin and mineral
supplement, which should contain the RDA of all the major vitamins.
' I like the multis, as they give you the full spread of of
micro-nutrients' says Dr. Anne Walker, senior lecturer in human nutrition at Reading
University. 'They have been carefully formulated - remember that there are interactions
between micro-nutrients and we need to take them together. I don't like single minerals in
particular, as they can inhibit absorption of each other.' "
